your face needs a rough texture that comes from sun exposure more than anything from playing football at the beach and looking for babes, but collagen is important for minimizing that damage so you don't end up looking like freddy krueger. that pearly fine soft porcelain skin is for females. yesterday i saw a jb barely wearing anything(likely lot lizard) walking down a stretch of road in the desert, looked 16, supermodel level of bf and proportions, but not man sized, she was like 5'6 with super pale skin and a face that looked like this:
