I know vitamin C is quite important for collagen synthesis, anecdotally since adding more fruits in my diet and supplementing with vitamin C my skin looks better. Is there any significant benefit to using topical vitamin C serum? Currently all I do is exfoliate and use moisturiser + sunscreen.

If you are using a vitamin c supplement its better to take small doses throughout the day instead of one high dose because you pee out the excess that you don't need anyways. Water soluble vitamins do not get stored in the body too long

Topical should have more pronounced local effects. Also, large vitamin C doses may be bad for kidneys, but believed to be helpful for other things.
