This thread is going to briefly go over some of my hiding spots over the past years with the rate of being caught. Some of these hiding spots require tools, while others are more "hidden in plain sight."Leave more high IQ ideas in the comments as I would highly appreciate it. I don't want to keep getting caught.
Also, make sure you learn your parents schedules when cleaning
INSIDE BED / AROUND BED FRAME - 4.5/10 (ROOKIE)
Long story short; do not do this. Most parents will make your bed or clean around your bed. Genuine rookie spot. Maybe temporarily inside your pillow could work given your situation.
SHOEBOX - 5.5/10 (AVERAGE)
Find a old shoebox, I would specifically use Jordan or Yeezy due to the bigger size. Hide your items in the shoebox. This is the most basic method but is extremley easy to get caught with especially if the shoebox is opened or shaken if your parents clean your room. One thing you could do is tape your items to the shoebox so they don't rattle inside. But its extremely obvious, so I would not recommend. This is only if you know your parents won't be coming into your room and you just want your items out of site. Also, you could put your items inside the shoe for an extra layer of protection.
INSIDE CLOTHES - 6.75/10 (COMMON)
This is a little better because it takes more critical thinking to look inside of the clothes due to it being more discreet, but it is still common sense especially when you are suspected of hiding things. Either the hood or pocket works, maybe a jacket with a inside pocket or even take a puffer jacket and cut a compartment into it; But it is still pretty obvious. You could also tape things in the sleeves.
LOTION BOTTLE - 8.5/10 (ABOVE AVERAGE)
This one requires more precision in patience. But long story short, take an old bottle of lotion or moisturizer, (CeraVe has the best storage room due to their size) and peel back the BACK sticker of the bottle. Cut a small square hole into the bottle and store your items in there. You could also tape them to the bottle to avoid rattling. When done, just lift the sticker back up.
GAMING CHAIR - 9/10 (HIGH IQ)
Many gaming chairs typically have zippers which are more hidden which you could store your items in. (Typically in the headrest) Just make sure they are not bulging out. This spot speaks for itself nobody is going to check here unless your room is being searched thoroughly. Use scissors to cut a seperate hole into your gaming chair foam if needed.
ANYWHERE BUT YOUR ROOM - 9.5/10 (HIGH IQ)
Realistically, most parents will just search your room. And I know its obvious to just put it someplace where nobody would look. But lets be fr, nobody wants even a slight chance of being caught or putting it in a place that is not accessible. I would recommend using your bathroom, create a compartment in your living room couch, your car, or behind a family painting. This could work but just make sure nobody would be looking.
INSIDE WALL - 10/10 (HIGH IQ)
This is probably the best but just simply get a drywall saw- they are pretty cheap, cut a hole in your wall and either cover it with a poster or outlet cover. Nobody is gonna suspect this. Just make sure the wall your using doesn't have anything behind it like wires or another room.
Hiding spots will obviosly vary for person to person. but at the end of the day just make sure you don't get caught. Whether its a box or a secret compartment or whatever, just make sure NOBODY will check it. You would only be risking your freedom and parents trust.
Ngl ive been caught with every single one besides the inside wall and anywhere but my room method but it is probably only a matter of time
(my parents think they are seal team six) (hopefully you don't have to deal with this.)
