How are Korean people so white? Do they bleach their skin?

I saw some Korean people the other day and they were so white it’s crazy
They kind of looked like vampires

It seems like the Japanese people I have ran into have more color to them than Koreans and Chinese do. Are they not into making their skin lighter or just a little darker on average than Koreans.
