College is much easier bc college men are low SMV and have no game. But once you graduate and move to a big city it’s hard mode as you are competing with celebrities and millionaires.

This is heavily dependant of area. You are describing an hyper competitive and shallow environment focused on validation. This is not a real definition of the west but like you said it depends of the zone.

And competing with rich men, models, athletes again is not only dependant of your city but the area of the city. Is not the same to live and go out in a huge metropolis in the richest districts than the suburban area (not necessarily poor or low class).
