A study was done with 2 rats where they surgically transplanted a part of the brain on one rat (something like that) and left the other rat alone.
They put the two rats in different cages with automatic feeding with the click of a button, so whenever they wanted food they just pressed the button and it came to them.
After a few weeks of the study, the rat with that part of the brain still connected ended up with its skin bulging out of each hole in the cage because of how fucking obese it got
It's a mental and physiological issue that obese ppl struggle with where they basically don't have a limit to how "full" they are and constantly are feeling hungry or have an appetite.
