If you remove premolars without moving the jaws forward surgically afterwards your face may look recessed because the soft tissue lacks support. Premolar extraction is only viable if done in combination with jaw surgery

Where have you read this? Mew says to get them extracted if they bother you and that it’s not very big of a deal.

Mew has lost his license as a practicing orthodontist. I had my premolars extracted and am getting jaw surgery, I spoke with multiple surgeons (one of them being alfaro) and orthodontist (as well as dentists) and have researched the medical literature to some extent. I'm a med student myself and have at least some competence in researching the literature. Also I would be very surprised if mew says to just extract premolars. Does not really fit his narrative of facial projection. Are you sure he isn't advocating for wisdom tooth extraction?

Cause im assuming OP is ethnic and ethnics on average suffer from slight to severe bimaxillary protrusion.Due to premolar extraction being the most suggested and cheapest procedure there is,most would favor it over sophisticated and pricey alternatives like ASO,bimax or genio.

I got a molar extracted in 2018 because of a cavity and it was never replaced. It was on the right side of my lower mandible. Because of it’s absence I stopped chewing on that side and overtime, the ramus shortened till it totally disappeared , the masseters atrophied and the right side of my face looked very different from the rest: no gonion flare, less prominent cheekbone, higher eyebrow and asymmetric eye.

Fast foward in 2021 when I discovered the blackpill and identified this failo, I started mewing and chewing more on that side and the ramus grew again. It went from the Tmj cracking every time I opened my just to just a slight decompression and no discomfort. It’s still asymmetric but it looks sooo much better now. The rest of the asymmetry looks fairly natural.

Damn bro i got the same case teeth wise my cheekbones bones are still wide for my face but i got braces two years ago now i gotta remove the third molar cause its just an infected fucked up hole
Plus when i did braces my son of a bitch doctor took my pre molar on the left side out, now my ramus is invisible and my bigonial width is subhuman
Do u think i need to do an implant asap or just wait for wisdom teeth to take place like jew doctors say
