How big of a deal is it to only get lower jaw surgery?

Let's say your maxilla is in the normal range but your lower jaw is recessed. Obviously full Bimax would be ideal in terms of aesthetics but there is no surgeon where I live who will perform Bimax on me.

I have the money but I don't want to travel for surgery, the logistics would be too complicated.

Is a bsso on its own worth it or should I not even consider jaw surgery unless it's full Bimax? I do plan on getting a rhinoplasty and jaw implants/fillers later.

Also my biggest concern with only getting a bsso is that I will need two lower teeth extractions. The benefits of the bsso should outweigh the negatives of extractions but I still don't like the idea of extractions.

Planning my surgery is driving me insane, I'm extremely indecisive.

How can we know the answer if you don't post pictures to expose your maxillary projection?

depends on how recessed your maxilla is. if it's decent but your mandible is recessed, BSSO is enough, otherwise probably not but without pictures we can't really give you legit advice

Are the extractions you need to have done just your wisdom teeth or others? Also, if your maxilla isn't recessed then upper jaw surgery isn't something you're missing out on. It would ruin your face.

if your bite is fine u cant have bsso without lefort1.

If your maxilla is okay but your mandible is not while occlusion is ok, it means you got braces when young and he fuckedyou up cuz he only want to fix teeth and he must of done shit think lik exercing pression on teeth just for them to meet

Yeah I had braces when I was younger. So now if I want a bsso I'll need two lower extractions.

I already had my wisdom teeth extracted so these would be 2 additional extractions

Thats really fucked up tonextract teeth just in order to meet.
Fuck jew ortho

Yes ur mandibl is recessed cuz he extract 2teeth so the jaw in theory should not be aligned but he extract in order to do that

Yes extract your two other teeth so you will get BSSO its a good option

I know people are against extracting but in order to recreate balance u need to do it

It's like having a hot gf but instead of fucking her you put porn and tell her to give you a handjob while you watch.

Why be a King when you can be a God?

Why don’t you get a second opinion from surgeons that you know will have no problem on performing a bimax and then think about it?

Bimax is often necessary not only for getting a better aesthetic outcome but also to achieve a good and stable bite. In some countries it is frustrating for orthodontists not having surgeons willing to do bimax.

What does a recessed maxilla look like?

If bone grafting is done right after extractions it wont be a problem. Bone grafting will keep the bone density and resorption wont be an issue. However one really need to be careful after this procedure is done so it heal properly.

Bimax is literally a life changing surgery. If you are not satisfied with the results, having a revision surgery is very hard due to the screws in your face.

Are you sure you want to stunt the effect of the most important surcigal procedure in your life?
