How can i convinve my ortho and parents to get palatal expander

Im 15 y.o , i got my damon braces my ortho said it will cure my unilateral crossbite i guess he was lying and shi, how can i convince to remove braces and get palatal expander like MARPE.

dude honestly it would it really akward asking the ortho for a palet expander, but you should tell him "there's something that I wanted to bring up, my upper palet can't hold my tongue properly so I have to breath through my mouth, I have seen that palet explander can solve that issue, I was wondering if I could get a palet explander installed"

Advice from someone that’s been in your shoes and dealt with orthos.

Parents won’t listen to you even if you can articulate everything, they don’t understand how a “doctor” can be wrong.

Tell them you want to get an opinion from an airway based ortho/specialist, if not go to the original ortho and say you want a second opinion from an airway specialist. They can’t really deny it because it would seem dismissive even in front of your parents.

I had 2 separate orthos say my bite is perfect and there’s no issue, same comments “too much internet” “Just anxiety” , I kept asking for a referral for a specialist I got instantly diagnosed with severe class II.

Yeah, orthos are dogshit here i did all this just for it to end up being $10k+ ill be going to Turkey soon to get marpe for 1/10 of the price it is here
