since you said accutane (isotretinoin) is for severe acne, which isn't true you can just run a low dose, which will be the easiest and probably the one you can see the most results from but if not and you want to take something safer, i would recommend starting off with tretinoin and maybe after a year of tretinoin, switching over to tazarotene if you don't get the results you desire. if not, just stay on tretinoin, but do your research on how to dose it and properly apply it.
