How come every time I microwave something someone says it smells good and asks me what it is?

At my old job every time I microwaved something to eat it, different people would say “mmm something smells good!” Or “hey what did you just cook it? smells bomb!” Or other comments. They never say this to other people only me. Why? And what am I supposed to even reply to those comments? I hate it
