Maybe the idea that its too high energy or trying 'too hard.' People probably associate it with like edm or 2018 trap remixes, and think its 'corny.' a lot of people listen to music now for the sole reason of being seen as cool, or nonchalant, or just in touch with the world instead of for what they like. It tends to influence their view on slightly more 'radical' stuff. its not like nightcore is crazy or insane to listen to, its just not adrienne lenker or brent faiyaz or frank ocean
