How do i ascend? Am i really as chopped as i think i am?

I always feel like I look so chopped and every dude around me looks good. And its only when im looking at myself in the mirror taking a good picture of myself when i sometimes feel like i look good. I'm 15 btw. here's 2 photos: one selfie and one my friend took.
