Agreed, thats like saying you can't look better just because you were born ugly:Comfy:
It's not cope.
Athleticism is genetic.
You're not magically becoming that much more coordinated.
If you want to become more physically capable, it's pretty self-explanatory what you should do.

I was looking for more specific programs/workouts

Ofcourse its genetic, but might aswell try to improve what I can even if the difference won't be huge:Comfy:

How about you start going to the gym first instead of theorising the most effective use of your non-existent time at the gym

Sure bud.

It's completely cope. I don't even need to reply why to him, he knows it's cope deep down. Anything to avoid hard work right?

Genetics do not produce the ability to train consistently, does not improve your willingness to endure monotony, or the inevitable re-engagement after failure.

It's selection bias.

Prolarper has observed individuals who are successful outliers, but has not observed genetically gifted people who never acted. You do not also observe disciplined people with lower ceilings who have still achieved substantial things, for example Goggins, with every fucking excuse possible under the sun, yet his record speaks for himself.

He's fucking destroyed. His body and internals are fucked up, and have been for 20+ years, yet he still done everything he done. He done everything VIA the power of his mind.

A lot of many elite performers are biologically atypical, but this is only normal at the extremes: elite sprinters, mathematicians, elite endurance athletes, etc. Genetic asymmetry becomes increasing relevant but only at the tail of performance distribution.

Athletics, sprints, yes, genetics play a huge role, and when it comes down to the upper-most percentile of performers it makes the difference, but only at that point does it. Your potential ceiling has nothing to do with anything until you put in enough work for talent or genetics to show.

Why would I even need to cope, I grew up in a poorer household, ate junk food almost everyday, didn’t grow up in sports, I still don’t follow routines and I grew to 193cm, I’m more athletic than the average person, I’ve always been above average in height, I have pretty decent facial development for my upbringing. I can easily maintain a lower bf %. I’m saying this to let him know that genetics matter way more than “hard work” does, you giving him blue pilled cope and telling him that you can “brute force” your way into being athletic or good looking just isn’t true.

Genetics matter in sports, but they are not everything. You can train to become a marathon runner, but you cant really train to become a top sprinter if you dont have the genetics for it.

Why jfl

Athleticism based workout programs are not niche so wherever GPT inquires their information the information is way more tested and accurate than other things

That's because I'm a natty, and find myself outperforming individuals who take every supplement and substance under the sun.

Not in terms of strength or size. In terms of endurance. Both with weights and without.

Only because of one thing, who's willing to go the distance?

Can you imagine if I applied that same mentality on top of steroids tho? It simply wouldn't be fair would it not? My point is, adopt the mindset which allows you to be the most competitive, stop outsourcing responsibility and relying on dependence of other things.

My entire life I have been underperforming. Once I realised that after doing a 50k run without any structured training for it, I started going crazy about the mind.

And yes, pinning is tempting. Is it worth it? Potentially. I will win regardless of what substance or not is being used, so in my eyes, it simply doesn't matter.

Im not trying to become a one in a million athlete, I just want good health, mobility, strength, cardio, all at the same time.

But yeah this forum has gone into shambles and all the good users are gone, can't get info on here even if my life depended on it.

Is this not an example of genetic advantage?
Only because of one thing, who's willing to go the distance?
studies also show that conscientiousness also has genetic influence.

What i think your argument is, is that you are trying to attribute all of your results to YOUR own hard work as if you were in complete control over your achievements. believing that you had a genetic advantage over others as well would take a hit towards your ''hardworking'' self concept. You are an example of the just world fallacy which is the assumption that everyone has the same advantages/start point and anyone that fails is flawed or fully accountable.

It hurt. Still in the gym the next day though.

Not metres, kilometres. 31.1 miles.

You're missing my entire point ICL.

I'm not shitting against genetics or exogenous hormone usage.

I'm saying hit your natural ceiling first before fucking with that shit.

I know for a fact I'd perform better and life quality would improve if I pinned. That's not my life philosophy though, mine is anti-dependence. Being able to perform at the highest levels when you don't have shit, nothing exists in your fucking life it sucks and you'd rather just be dead. Yet, still be able to get up and perform to the highest of levels.

That's all I give a fuck about.

One day I may hop on something, but my current trajectory I simply do not believe it's necessary.

His judgement:
- Appeal to nature
- Just world bias
- Anecdotal evidence

exactly lmao but they don't see that, if you call it out they think that you've ''given up on hard work'' when that couldn't be further from the truth lmao

I was looking for the most optimal program, so I was thinking maybe someone on here had good experience on whats good and whats not, cause people say alot of different things on the internet. Could've saved alot of time, but instead we got 12 year olds making me do Einstein type math equations just to understand what they are trying to type:FeelsTastyMan:

No, because I was fucked up within 10k.

It is entirely through the power of your mind. That should be sufficient.
This guy's whole thinking is a flaw
Sure bud. Whatever helps you cope. My world view allows me to be most competitive, my results and current trajectory are backed up by that. I just don't believe in any sort of "dependence" on substances, music, supplements, fucking anything you can name.
believing that you had a genetic advantage
I don't believe that at all, if you actually read and digested my previous point, you wouldn't have made that statement. Why even comment that?
You are an example of the just world fallacy which is the assumption that everyone has the same advantages/start point and anyone that fails is flawed or fully accountable.
Another pointless comment, because once again you're misinterpreting what I am saying.

Not everyone has the same starting point.
Yes, all failures should be held accountable for. If you aren't accountable for it, you can't truly face it and fix it. You have a lower chance of overcoming it without taking accountability for everything in your life. This statement to the left is not relevant to genetics.

Conclusion:
You're both misinterpreting my points.
I agree with both of you to some extent

My point is: Anti-dependance
Can you perform to the highest of levels when you don't have anything? No motivation, no music, no drive, no fucking shit.
If the answer is no then, evidently, that explains the semantic disagreement we're having.

I do ppl rest u/l, Im mainly looking for the best endurance + mobility program. I can just make a different split that fits the mobility and endurance program if needed:Comfy:
