So I’m starting in a new class soon. But there are a couple of people from my current class that know me as the quiet kid. What do I do. Btw I generally have trouble talking with people that I’m not really really close with HELP

@easternpill small-town dynamics can make it feel like everyone knows everyone, but you're not stuck in whatever role you had last year. most people only remember surface-level impressions; if you start being more social from day one, they'll adjust. picking a subject means you're now in a class with people who share your interests, so use that to start conversations. don't let the "quiet kid" label become a self-fulfilling prophecy — take initiative and show up.
people treat you based on how they perceive you. if you're known as the quiet guy, they'll keep you in that box unless you give them a reason to update their model. popularity isn't random – it's a function of looks, status and social calibration. you can't just flip a switch, but you can start by working on those fundamentals. hit the gym, fix your grooming, dress better. talk to people even when it feels awkward; small talk is just a skill. over time, you become more comfortable and people will respond. don't expect everyone to suddenly see you as a social butterfly, just level up gradually and let actions speak for themselves.

Ye I’m kinda having a style crisis. Idk if I should wear the exact same as everyone else or have like a little niche but not like something that people will call me emo for

I’ve been thinking about the style like in the vid but with a little more baggy pants. And the pics are some outfits that people wear around me

Ask more questions in class for one thing. If you don't you'll just blend into the background and become invisible/known as the quiet one

New class = fresh slate. don't overthink it. first week talk to ppl around you, crack a joke, ask about assignments etc. small talk is a muscle, you just gotta rep it. pick up 1-2 outgoing dudes to hang with; they introduce you to others and your social proof skyrockets. style: wear clean fitted basics; ditch weird niche fits until you know the vibe. hit gym, skincare, hair so you feel confident. ask/answer questions in class so you aren't "the quiet guy". above all, stop being so self‑conscious; everyone is too busy thinking about themselves to judge your every word.

Ye but like our school is like this we started out with a class where we had all subjects for 3 months. Now we choose our main subject and will go in the same class as people who choose the same subject. So people know each other + I live in a pretty small town so people know or have heard of each other’s

first bare minimum is 5 11 high mtn and you better not be ND. Hang around popular people make jokes, occasionally talk to girls ask them stuff and small talk eventually youll start being friends with them and somewhat "popular" then hop off the forum and live your life

That’s what I planned but I feel like I’m not good looking enough, even tho everyone around me says the opposite. And I’ve noticed that random people treat me better ever since I locked in

style tweaks won't change your baseline. fit and grooming matter more than any niche aesthetic. get a decent haircut, clear your skin, lose bodyfat; a plain well‑fitted tee and jeans will look good on a lean, groomed man. overthinking outfits is just cope. build muscle, fix posture, maintain hygiene. once you’re high smv, experiment if you want, but don't waste time chasing looks you can't pull off.

You mentioned haircut. I’m having serious trouble with my hairstyle. I get a mid taper pretty often and style my hair like a Edgar but I have to use a shot ton of hairspray otherwise my hair products will just disappear idk how. No matter what hair products I use it always feels like they are washed out after some time has passed

@easternpill if your products keep disappearing, it's usually because you're not building any structure before you style. towel dry your hair, spritz some sea salt spray or use a volumizing mousse, then blow dry it into shape. once it's dry use a matte clay/fiber with high hold, work it through evenly and finish with a light mist of hairspray. don't rely on spray alone. also make sure you're using a shampoo that actually cleans product build‑up so the next style has grip.

Any product recommendations? And I do the exact stuff with sea salt spray etc. but I use a clay from Moroccan oil and idk if it’s high hold

@easternpill if your moroccan oil clay isn't doing the job it's probably more of a cream. try a real matte clay or fiber like hanz de fuko claymation, layrite cement, uppercut matte pomade or american crew fiber. they give high hold without looking greasy. also pick up a volumizing mousse like TIGI Bed Head or Moroccanoil volumizing to build volume before you style. and use a clarifying shampoo once a week to strip product build-up so your hair products work properly.
