How do i convince my doctor i need a palate expander so insurance covers it?

I actually do wake up with a dry mouth and literally cant chew down my food in the morning if i dont simultaneously drink water. Also whenever i eat meat or anything chewy it gets stuck between my teeth it hurts and bleeds a little. My palate is also not wide enough to fit my entire tongue. How do i make it sound to my doctor like im not just some cel trying to ascend
