i got an RPE already and before you ask yes i have an overjett/deepbite any tips to convince my ortho to give me headgear?

legit tell them you think it'd make you look better, maybe say something along the lines of:

"I know I have buck teeth rn but that doesn't make my upper jaw any less recessed, i want to pull my upper jaw forward and use braces after to bring teeth back"

they're not there to prevent you from doing what you want, at the end of the day braces themselves are primarily an aesthetic treatment
