Do I need to convince him or is this a treatment they do per request of the patient?

I was previously examined and they said that I didn't need one because I had big airways and my palatte was "like a dome" but my maxillary projection is esthetically subpar (low cheek bones, under eyebags, sonewhat flatter look in the midface)

I also have trouble maintaining correct tongue posture, my tongue folds on the sides and creates a space between the tip of the tongue and the rest of the palate, would this be enough of a reason?

They recommended invisalign instead but all that does is widen the dental arch not the skeletal...

If you don't qualify for it, you can't use some Jedi mind trick to make them do it

What do you think MARPE will result in? Pallate expanders should only be used to fix any deformities in the pallate and not to improve your "cheekbones" as that won't affect it either way.

If you want to improve specific parts of your face get the according surgery, increasing your pallate width has pros and cons btw. It's not like it will ascend you without any negative aspects like wider nose width, less hollow cheek space, etc.

Haven't considered that, my line of thinking was wider maxilla=higher, more defined cheekbones

don't focus on specific features. for some reason alot of newer people here believe, that if you maximize one feature it will ascend you. it's more about the ratios of your face, not a specific features like "big jaw" or "cheekbones"
