wouldn't it be better to go now? I thought the jaw wouldn't grow as much after adolescence and palatal suture would be closed by then.

The main reason not to go is that you don’t yet have the brain and resources to assess whether you’ll want jaw surgery. Wait until you are a mature adult

shouldn't proper guidance for growth by an orthodontist decrease the need for jaw surgery later on? my front 2 teeth are slanted inward a little and I think its affecting my lower jaw

no ortho can change your jaw at this point

if you detect early enough a severe issue a very good orthodontist can help
