It flares up after I OHP, Bench or Lateral Raise tbh. I've been doing a lot of band pull aparts but my shoulders are still bad.

@Arborist

Subhuman genetics. Tall ogres can perform with heavy weights and horrible technique yet their shoulders are strong and stable. Subhumans need to be careful from every little movement with subhuman tier lifting numbers. Such is life.

At their peak. Not on a 60kg bench press. Otherwise they wouldn't be pros.

Even worse. Hurt for no real reason. Truly subhuman.
Eh maybe I do have subhuman genetics. I was never good at sports growing up. Shit speed, stamina, coordination. So I was forced to rot at home and play video games. But I'll work hard despite my genetics.

there's a few things that can cause this, it's either too heavy and you could lower the weight and increase the reps, or pay attention to the negative to the point where you will probably lose some reps.

but switching to a narrower bench/ohp form also helps sometimes, but also it could be that your elbows flare too much.

it's the initial push from the lowest part of the negative in a rep that stresses the shoulders in these movements.

Delaying the inevitable. He's too subhuman to lift weights.

these kind of pains are relatively normal with bench/ohp, everyone gets them eventually, it's just part of the progress of finding what form works the best for you, I had them too and switched to a narrower form, seemed to work out for me.

I feel like my elbows flare a lot on OHP. Not so much on bench. Any way to prevent that?

some flare is normal in some parts of the movement, but they shouldn't flare in the start of the movement, that's where the shoulders are the most stressed.

it's just a matter of practice, do a few reps with the bar, everyone goes through this, hardly anyone ends up with what's anatomically good form for their body from the start.

Gotcha. I'll work on my form.

Also, when I do 1 arm French Press (Overhead Extensions) and 1 arm Lateral Raises, my shoulder experiences a lot of discomfort. Any advice?

stop doing them or do less until you resolve your form in the other two movements since they're probably causing the impairment.
