there is no other correct answer then a calorie surplus, witch is when you eat more calories then you burn. Since you are 16 and still growing and i assume working out since you want to gain more wight i recommend you eat around a little bit under 3000 cals a day. Tack your calories using a app like my fitness plan. And if you say that you are eating in a calorie surplus and still not gaining weight there's only there things that could be happening. 1 you are not eating in a surplus or a very little one most likely because your not tracking the cals EVERYDAY. 2 your inconsistent. 3 you are inpatient and think it wont take time. So just eat around 300 cals, work out and be patient and you will gain weight.Muh calorie surplus
