How do I know if one side of my jaw is overtrained from chewing?

I've noticed that my left side feels like a right-angled triangle while my right side feels like a hill of muscle. It's hard to explain but I hope you get the idea? Which one of the two is under trained?

That's why you shouldn't chew... different insertions

one eye socket is higher. or bite on a pencil and it's not horizontal

Bite down hard with your teeth, or possibly with gum on both sides, if you see a difference in angle of the jaw muscle or that one side of the cheek gets a bit more defined due to being pulled back slightly more you have an imbalance. Due to bad teeth I could only chew on one side during my early teens and got serious imbalance. although everyone I talked with it about claimed not to notice so it is possible that it isn't that big of a deal.
