how do i know when to stop while bonesmashing

Is there like a sign I should stop while bonesmashing? If my face starts brusing is it a sign to stop? I've seen people to stop when it gets red but i've seen others say to stop when I start bruising. Also do i bonesmash everyday or is there rest days?

Also what should i use to bonesmash? a hammer, my knuckles, I've also seen people say to use a massage gun but I only got one of them hard plastic ones could i still use that?

? you shouldnt be hitting hard enough to bruise, if its bruised take a break, only hit hard enough to cuase redness and swelling, and if theres light light bruising after, its alr, a hammer or your knuckles are fine, jsut make sure youre bracing your head disinfecting, using vaseline etc
