how do i stop being scared in the gym

i'm overweight on reta and i barely eat and just sit in my house all day and i feel like im just losing all the muscle i barely already had i tried going to the gym before but ima bitch and i get social anxiety and don't actually end up hitting anything

I had a somewhat similar issue, wearing headphones with music load for a start helps, make sure you have a planned workout before you go as well so you don’t end up wandering around aimlessly; staying engaged stops you thinking about others, and most of all it’s a consistency thing. Eventually you stop worrying about it as long as you keep going around 4 times a week and just keeping to yourself.

This is relatable icl but go gym in the morning or if you have friends go with them but go to gym when its quite i am on a spectrum so i normally blast music in my headphones to quite the thoughts down in the gym and it helps as well

Negative feedback loop, go for a few months dont look at anyone. Pretend u have aura n shit. Once u loose some weight and get those beginner gains your physique will be mogging a little bit and then ur chillin. U just need to do it for a few months.
