how do parents ignore how huge losers their kids are?

like if you knew ur son was a fat loser wouldn't you think of some game plan to change their life? my parents seemed to think it was desirable that i was a shut in loser. meanwhile i can't muster the motivation to do the most basic shit they would care about like moneymaxxing nor will i procreate.
