I also ruined my freshman year like this by isolating myself since I realized how chopped I was compared to the chads strolling around campus. I basically only went to class, the dining hall, and my dorm room and talked to no one.
Post normal things on social media like ur hobbies and shit make ur instagram presentable to new people. and be active at school like at events, after hours studying and just being seen outside of just class. smile and greet familiar faces even if you only know them a little. the social interactions will come to you

College is meant to be a fresh start, especially in the UK. I’m from the UK and there’s about 3 different colleges around me and like 40 different schools. That’s around 200 Year 11’s per 40 school, so you’re looking at 8,000 people. That’s 8,000 or more you could end up being friends with and/or in a relationship with.
My one has about 2,500 or something. Also yeah I agree completely, my worry in the first year was people I was trying to avoid would bring up my jestermaxxing past so I basically just tries to be out of sight, out of mind
start talking to more people, not just girls you like, if you become friends with a girl you don't like, she could help you find someone or if someone likes you now but doesn't have any mutuals with you they might ask your new friend about you
