Because the things that create success are usually selfish in nature and the people who behave immorally ruin the lives of people around them to obtain that success. Through god, you can win, but it comes at the cost of self sacrifice as opposed to taking advantage of others. Basically two ways of obtaining success: behave selfishly and win at the cost of others and your environment around you, or make personal sacrifices and engage in introspection and you win through patience and diligence. The first option will always catch up with you in some way shape or form, so I don’t recommend the black magic route.
