How do you explain to your friends or relatives about your surgeries ?

I just told them that I lost weight
What have you done after your surgeries ? Should I make New friends after my jaw implants?

I was thinking my surgery wouldn't be that noticeable and my plan was to tell the few people who asked that I had just lost weight.

The very first person I saw 3 weeks post surgery was like "WHOOOAHHHH WTF HAPPENED DUDE YOU LOOK TOTALLY DIFFERENT" and he yelled out to someone else to come over to me.

fml.

I still stuck to my pathetic "lost weight" story and deluded myself into believing others would buy it despite people shaking their head as I tried to convince them. In hindsight it was an obvious lie and I should have been man enough to just admit it. These days I literally don't give a fuck what people think

Grow or wear a fake beard, so they won't be able to tell. After a while get rid of it and they won't remember how you looked before.
