How do you get bloodwork covered by health insurance?

I live in Germany, where you can theoretically get bloodwork covered by public health insurance if your doctor considers it medically necessary. I’m planning to start a cycle soon, but I really don’t want to pay €80+ out of pocket every time I want to get bloodwork done.


Has anyone here had experience getting their doctor to check things like testosterone and e2 through insurance? What did you tell your doctor, and what was the medical reason for the tests?


I actually managed to get a growth plate X-ray/check covered for free. I basically told my doctor that I was concerned I might have delayed growth because most of my uncles are around 6 ft+ while I’m only about 5’7”. He was pretty receptive to it.


So I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with getting hormone bloodwork covered in Germany. Any advice would be appreciated.

Usally you still have to pay some out of pocket, & its really not that much.

Do you mean if I Tell my doctor? If yeah what do I Tell him should I just say that i think I have low test and the usual side effects?

Shld I Tell him my cycle too sure he would aprecciate it

Tell him real medical Information like you got dizziness, headache, no daily energy.

Then your insurance must cover it.
