Half the niggas here will tell you to eat it raw

But I would cut it into multiple pieces, not just putting it on the stove whole

I have a stainless steel pan and also teflon
Usually i just get the meat;

Dry it up with a paper towel or something,

Then put some salt on it (i don't like pepper or any other spices but add if u want i guess)

Heat up your pan till the leidenfrost effect happens (put water on it and see when it slides around) on medium ish heat

Put some butter in or whatever fat you have

Then wait for the crust to form, it should be like you're frying it but only on the outside.
i usually do about 2 min on each side + the sides of it till they look done.

Then add some more butter if needed, switch to lowest heat and baste it for some time.
Turn heat off, put on plate and rest it for about 5-10 minutes.
Cut and eat. :feelsokman:

I cook it in my toaster oven which takes longer. 10-15 minutes at a time, keep checking on it, poke holes to the middle. I use non-dairy butter, lemon juice, garlic and onion powder and sometimes other seasonings. I add mushrooms in in the last few minutes. I sometimes cook it with shrimp too.

Idk bro maybe you fucked up the temperature or didn't preheat enough.
I usually start preheating mine about halfway before im done with the preparations since i have a carbon steel and it heats up slower.

I watch this uhm YouTube video and it told me
-season
-oil in a pan, high heat, make oil hot
-put steak in, then adjust the heat down a little
-once one side is seared, turn it and sear on other side
- once both sides has been seared, you turn heat down and drop in your butter and aromatics (garlic, thyme, rosemary)
- make sure your butter mingles with the aromatics
- now ur gonna start butter basting, put the aromatics away from the opposite side of the pan, away from ur butter so u can start basting
-after basting put on ur plate and let it rest, u can also pour the butter and put the aromatics in the pan onto the steak after its off the heat too
