How do you study as ND

I was born with ADHD and can’t study at all. I don’t do poorly in school, but I have a heavy AP course load next year plus the SAT, so I need to learn how to study. What are coping mechanisms, or how do you study with ADHD?
I’ve tried just sitting down and reading or doing problems, but I zone out halfway through or get so bored that I don’t remember any of it. Also, all the other guides are just watery BS that doesn’t work.

Yeah, I get Adderall from friends for major tests like AP exams and my PSAT, and it works amazingly, but my parents won't let me take it because it makes me act differently.
