MARPE is a palate expander that they install on your upper jaw and turn a key every day so that the device slowly expands your palate. it’s basically breaking your maxilla in order to push it outwards for mm expansion. you go to your ortho and explain to them why you feel you need a palate expander so that they can recommend it to you. it’s costly ranging from a few thousand to 10k so you’d be better off if you had insurance to cover it if you think about getting a palate expander
