How effective is IPL for facial hair removal ?

I want to get rid of my beard because it doesnt fit me and is a looksmin for me. Does anyone have experience with IPL ? Its supposed to do a good job at getting rid off body hair, but its disputed towards male facial hair removal.

And no, laser as off now is no option for me because im a poorcel

Does anyone have experience with IPL

WRT facial hair it maybe made it so that I have to shave less frequently but it wasn't worth it.

I burn in the sun all the time and have jet black hair and IPL still wasn't good for me even after 20+ sessions.
Lots of things might have gone wrong, maybe I didn't prep properly or didn't use the laser the right way or for long enough, maybe my machine was bad, but... eh. I still think that all of these count as cons for the at-home laser removal itself, even if YMMV.

I've read lots of horror stories of people ending up with burn scars, ingrown hair and bald patches so you should keep that in mind too.
