How important are eyelashes on a man?

my fag male friends love making fun of me for having long eyelashes saying I look like I got eyeliner on or something, but I've also been complimented multiple times by women which is what matters. How much do you guys think eyelashes matter compared to other features and how much do they improve the eye area?
