How important are grades in highschool

i dont particularly have bad grades i have a 3.4 gpa as a sophomore in highschool but i want to go into business as my dad owns a successful company. but school spikes my cortisol and im thinking about just saying fuck it and taking all of the easiest classes next year so i dont have a heavy workload at all. and can focus on improving myself

your high school grades matter a lot for what college you get into

better college means better opportunities for your career especially in business

but if you think you can be successful without college (and you probably can since your dad owns a company) then grades for you probably won't matter as much as for most people

as long as your learning about business

getting good grades is retarded unless you either get them without trying or are trying to pursue a career where a degree is needed. if u wanna get rich learn a skill, document it on socials, and monetize it.

No sugarcoat, the grades themselves aren't that important but you do get a lot of crucial knowledge from highschool that you'll need in college/university. In your case (since you wanna study business) I'd say maybe pay more attention to the subjects you'll do/need for university.

Take the right courses for uni and your degree. Bio, math, calc, physics, chem, etc. are required for alot of programs.

it don't matter till senior year
