How impressive other’s accomplishments are to you shows your social standing

If you are super impressed or in awe of those around you that shows you have a low social standing in certain areas of life.

Seeing other rich people is only impressive when you’re not rich

Seeing other good looking people is only impressive when you’re not good looking

For any of you who have successfully gymmaxxed you probably used to think that a certain strength feat was super impressive when you were far away from it, but as you started to get closer/reached, it now seems not as impressive.

The same could applied to stuff like height, physique, women, etc.

Things just aren’t very impressive to you when you already have them yourself.

Life is relative and your brain is constantly adapting to your achievements.
