It is def a factor thats big when doing surgery. Some people say its a month, some say 3 months, some say 9+ months. Some really delusional or scammy surgeons say 2 years for diffrent procedures.
Me myself have done plenty of surgery, 2 rhinos, one bimax and implants, no smaller soft tissue work tho.
From bimax and implants in my experience i would say major swelling is gone at 3 weeks, and i am having more swelling then average from what i heard. At 3 months all looks related swelling was gone. Even tough it could still vary decently how much swelling fluid i retained so it kinda fluctate a lot.
For revision rhino it seems to be the same, first rhino only was like 1,5 months. Really fast.
After 3 months very small and subtle things can happen often not really for the better or anything like that
