How long do you have to moutbreathe at the age of 17 or 18 for it to still have an affect on cranofacial growth and recess you more?

I had a some surgeries (turbinoplasty, septoplasty and adenoidectomy) at Friday and been mouthbreathing since then.
I just got back the ability to breathe on one nose hole and can even smell a bit from there.
Also the bleeding mostly stopped and there‘s just some watery mucus or small Scabs coming out.
Will those 1-2 weeks I have mouthbreathed affect me in any way?

mouth breathing only matters in childhood or very very early teens and has to be done for years and years also muscle tone has a bigger impact than oral posture

Ok alright thanks.
But what exactly do you mean with “muscle tone“?

A lot of it is genetics, some are more prone to recession than others

Stop kidding man

why am I the only person who moutbreathed in my early childhood and who‘s recessed then?
genetics can cause mouth breathing sometimes

muscle tone is how tense your muscles are at rest, incels/actual autists have less type 2 muscle fibers so they are more relaxed and appear slouchier weaker etc, this also impacts the facial muscles and thus facial bone development but theres not much u can do about this. 99% of people have normal muscle tone

Ok but my face looked normal before I got into puberty, I even had some slight cheekbones that protruded.
Could have also maybe a lack of physical activity have caused this?

I used to mouth-breathe till 16. My maxillo-facial development is still akin to my mother's.

I mouth breathed for the first 12 years of my life yet I am not recessed

I also had braces with headgear at the beginning and elastics later.
I heard over a period of time camouflage orthodontics can also have caused that.

My orthodontist made pic related for me. I accidentally drowned them in a bathtub after wearing for 4 months. That was the last time wearing them. They didn't do shit.

I also wore this shit.
Idk what it even was for?
Should I have wore it more or less?

Not at all tbh. My orthodontist herself had a massive lisp and overbite. I wonder why she has never done anything about it...

probably because “camouflage“ orthodontics only treat the aesthetical part and they recess your maxilla as hell.
I still don‘t know what this shit is for.
I still have it, don‘t know what would happen if I continued wearing it.

I wouldn't know since I'm in my 20s.
