We all have different bodies but if you're on it 6 months should be more than enough.

I was detrained so it didn't took me long to gain my former gains thanks to muscle memory so I was able to lean down and gain muscles at the same time. I don't know if it's your case.

2g of protein per kg of bodyweight is a meme, I was way below that, something like 1,5g at 100g/day.

I was training 6 times/week PPL cycle twice with 30 minutes of moderate intensity cardio after each session that didn't involved the legs + 10k steps per day minimum.

It's all about intensity and regularity. I didn't even hit my abs very hard,t hey were always there, just hidden by 25lbs of fat.

I roughly eat 1.2g per kg, my understanding was that for a cut you want it a bit higher the maximal benefit is seen at I think 1.6g per kg, 1.5 seems right

1kg of fat contains 7,700 calories
1lb of fat contains 3,500 calories

Step 1) figure out how much weight that 8% body fat amounts to
Step 2) times that weight by the calories
Step 3) divide total calories by your daily deficit and this will tell you how many days to loose that fat

Can factor in an extra 30% for your 70% discipline

Correct me if I’ve fucked this calculation up

All natty. Never touched gears and I hate whey protein. Only chicken breast, eggs and greek yoghurt for protein intake.

To be honest, genio recovery helped me quite a bit : I was on liquid diet for almost 2 weeks so I dropped 5lbs during that time.

Huge copes. You can lose 0.5% of your total bodyWEIGHT (not bodyfat) every week without suffering.

0.005 x 180 lb male = 0.9 poounds ≈ lose 1 pound per week

If you do a slow cut and lose 0.5 pounds per week:

20% BF 180 lb male has 36 pounds of fat in his body. To get to 12% means he’ll have 21.6 pounds of fat in his body and thus has to lose 14.4 pounds of fat. Losing 0.5 pounds per week takes 28.8 weeks or about 6 and 2/3 months.

The above calculation assumes that the lean mass stays constant. Depending on your training level, you may be able to gain some muscle mass during a slow cut (newbie recomping). You also might lose muscle mass during a cut. Dunno.

Lose 1 pound per week (probably will lose muscle too if you cut at this rate) and you’ll hit 12% in longer than 3 and 1/3 months (longer because some of the lost weight is muscle (probably) ) .

3 months if consistent, maybe less if you are familiar with cutting. 5-6 months assuming you fail a few times (which is normal)
 
Do a aggressive cut very low cals for 6 weeks, maintenance for 2 weeks repeat, could be done in 2-4 months if you have the discipline
