How long to learn how to code?

I guess once you learn the main in a language then u can do whatever shit you want. How long to get to this point? (oc this would mean the learn the extra grammar and tools for specific purposes if needed)

I have zero experience in this, but my sister pointed me in the direction of a website called udemy. I saw a bunch of courses on there. I assume you could learn how to do java script in a few days depending on how fast you go
