really depends. I've already finished 6 books since january. I would estimate I will read around 20-30 books this year

I am planning to read 200 books in one year. That is part of my mentalmaxing journey. I want to become articulate, wise, grounded in history, sensible, and educated. I already have facility with words, so imagine how much I could achieve if I read 200 books.

I actually haven't read a book in like over a year

~5 if we only count reading

~40 if we count audiobooks

I can focus much more easily if I am walking or running while listening compared to sitting down and reading. But then again, It's also much slower than reading.

amount of books read is a total fallacy way of gauging amount of value taken, most people who (legit not even larping) read a book will say “ummm I dunno dude read the book it’s really compelling” without retaining anything

there’s nothing about the format of a “book” that makes it any better than any other format, videos articles even TikTok’s at educating

you are probably better off reading 1 complex book a year than 200 garbage new millennial publiciatiojs (new books generally have minus 40 iq points compared to 1940 to adjust for non reading culture)

knowledge is everything

I just picked it up again this year but so far 2

picked 1 to 5 because no zero. reading is a normie meme. it doesn't have any benefits. you can get the same information from wikipedia, articles found through google, movies, or youtube reviews in a fraction of the time it would take to read the book. there is literally no reason to read books ever.

you can't get that from books. look at foids, they read all the time but are still semi retarded

You need potential to read books and become articulate, which I visibly have. The books women read are usually fiction, but I am planning to read non-fiction books as well as fiction books to have a more profound experience. Books are part of my mentalmaxing. My main focus is the body, to become attractive, but I do not want to be an attractive man without content; I want to be an intriguing attractive man, who can talk about a lot of things.

very close minded answer. I find reading to be an enriching experience especially when reading non fiction.
