How many sets and reps of Lateral raise?

I do them three times a week, 6 sets and I start of with lighter weights at high volume and end with higher weight at lower volume. I use dumbbells only.

5 set's for 12 rep's of your 70% 1REP MAX

2 minute rest peroid between each set

What do you guys think of cable lateral raises vs DB? I’ve heard cable are better so I do those but DB gives me a way better pump
 
You don’t need anywhere near that amount of volume (sets) to get big delts, and imo you’d make more progress doing a 1/3 of that (6 sets of laterals/week) and focusing heavily on shoulder pressing (6 sets/week).

Spamming laterals is cope imo. You see your delts get pumped in the gym, which gives you the false idea that you’re growing them. But what’s going to put actual meat on your delts is getting strong as fuck at overhead pressing with laterals to compliment.

Shoulder pressing DOES hit your side delts hard, and that’s the exact reason all bodybuilders to this day start with seated dumbbell shoulder press on their shoulder days. It’s your bread and butter movement for delts

Don’t use machines. Do OHP and Reeves Shrugs.

Ignore the other guy. Machines are actually superior to freeweights for muscle building because of the increased stability which allows you to hit true failure with the target muscle.

All a muscle knows is tension. Not whether youre using a barbell or a machine. If you take that muscle to failure with enough volume and PROGRESSIVELY OVERLOAD it (more weight) over time, it will grow

They are not meant to be used by newbies. Plus they make you look like a fag.

A lot of the most jacked and aesthetic guys I know use almost all machines. Also who gives a fuck about looking like a fag when you physique mog everyone in the gym doing squat bench dead.

You also look like a fag doing neck curls yet it gives results that make you look better than those watching from the sideline

Pull ups mogs to Andromeda but lp+rows can be a good alternative
Reeves shrugs probably don't work
My clavicles grew noticebly in a month while doing them daily. I was taking MK but they grew nonetheless.

Yes 100%

Just don’t treat machines like fluff and pump. You still need to train near failure, and add weight/reps frequently

How much weight were you lifting in this exercise?
Not much tbh. Bar is 20kg, I was loading 10kg to each side. So, 40kg. I started with 30kg.
