2-3 to absolute failure is more than enough.

2-3 per exercise, if 3 leave maybe 1-2 reps in reserve on set 1, take 2/3 to failure

10-20 per muscle group per week

You mean per session?

Or per exercise

1-2 sets of each exercise going over 3 is very retarded

I usually go 3 of failure or almost to failure, is that too much? Should I cut down to 2

Depends on your split, sets/week/muscle group is more important than sets/session

Generally speaking if your split isn’t retarded that’s a good range

yes instead do 3 different exercises instead of 3 sets as its very redundant and you can bias different regions of the same muscle if you do 3 different exercises you can do 2+1 or 1+1+1 instead there are many graphs that show you get the most growth you get in a session just from just the first set of an exercise

make sure your frequency is not lower than 2 times a week if it is time to switch to ul or fbd
Is upper lower 4 X a week better than ppl 6 x a week

2-3 to failure or 1-2rir is optimal I personally do 2 sets for most exercises because I can’t recover 3 sets for every exercise
