Problem with this is, my occlusal plane isn’t even downslanted. So they have to impact the maxilla upwards pretty evenly at the front and at the back. I only can get 1 to 2 degrees of CCW rotation, and that’d get me to a 0 degrees flat occlusal plane.

purely depends on how much of a gummy smile you have, lets say you have 5mm gummy smile, any mm over 5mm impaction will result in less upper teeth show. technically you can get more, will it look better? no! will the surgeon do it? no!

I've got the same problem. I have a 4-5mm gummy smile. If the surgeon removes that excess vertical growth my harmony will be way better. So, I understand what you're saying. I'm not completely sure how the lips look after big rotations. I think this problem is fixable, because i've seen it fixed on some before and afters.
