How much does lighting matter when taking body pics?

I feel like I look decent in some lighting but a fat low T subhuman in other lighting.
Am I coping or does it have an effect?

I know it matters if you have decent muscles and want them to look best but what I mean is I look fatter in my bedroom at night than I do during the day. Idk if i’m coping or not.
