Average Cranial capacity (male and female): 1384.6 cc

SD: 135.27 cc

Note, we can not use this because it includes females. We needed the SD to know just how rare our skulls are (we'll have to assume the SD is the same for both sexes for our estimates to be accurate). We'll use the data from Wikipedia as a substitute.

Average cranial capacity (male): 1440 cc




Average head circumference (adult male): 55.1 cm
SD: 1.4 cm



Why do we want to measure head size?


The size of the skull determines/correlated with many important things. It is positively correlated with brain size (which is correlated with IQ, reminder that correlation is not causation. It is a sexually dimorphic trait in humans, having a large skull is a manly trait, therefore, you will mog other men if your noggin is humungous. The opposite is also correct, possessing a small skull will result in you getting mogged.


How to measure head

It is very easy to measure your cranial capacity, just follow the image below.



To find your head circumference, simply wrap a tape around the widest part of your skull.

Here are my stats.





As you can see. My circumference is 2SD above average while my cranial capacity is a gigantic 5.69SD above average. My head height is what's pulling me so far above average.

Are you sure you measured head height correctly? You measure from the boney ridge behind your ear.





Year head is extremely long. Do you have a sloped forehead and occipital bun? The occipital is the back of your head, is it rounded and bulges outward?

Length has to be much higher. 17cm is way too low. My length is 19.5 cm and 16.5 cm wide and my circumference is 58 cm. You must have measured length wrong.

Also how can you have 22 cm high neuro cranium. That is extremely high, show me a pic jfl. Block out your face if you want.

I placed two solid objects between my head and measured the distance to find the width and length. Height is harder though, your neck gets in the way.
