I think it's okay to tell white lies on resume like overstating the importance of your role, impact experience with certain technologies etc. just don't go around making up entire positions, companies and degrees like schizo

It’s better to underpromise and overdeliver
For a CV, just put your legitimate qualifications/experience in the most basic way possible, without putting stuff that could put pressure on u in an interview
