how symmetry affects perceived attractiveness

People will subconsciously detect asymmetries and perceive you as less attractive, but when you directly ask them if they notice your asymmetries they will not be able to pin point any lack of symmetry and claim that you're face is reasonably symmetrical despite that obviously not being the case.
