If I got a lip lift to reduce my philtrum length wouldn’t my lips just be open permanently?

your doc wouldn’t cut more than 2-5mm to avoid that.

The muscles in ur lips naturally relax after 1-3 months post surgery and settle into the new place and close your mouth.
