as the title say i wanted to talk about how hormones actually impact the growth of the facial bones and how we can manipulate these to our advantage using different methods to grow our bones, so let's get into it
1 How Hormones dictate the growth of facial (and body) bones through osteoblasts
as i hope you all already know by now, osteoblasts are cells inside your bones that work like this; osteoblasts in your bones can be stimulated externally via IGF-1, IGF-1 is a peptide hormone which is formed by 70 amino acids, IGF-1 (alongside other things) goes into your bones and tells your osteoblasts to wake up and create a protein mixture called osteoid which then hardens through calcium and vitamin d, hence why it's so important that you get your daily calcium and vitamin d, now once the osteoblasts have finished releasing this mixture some of them get trapped inside the newly formed bone and become ostecytes which are larger cells which are very durable and hence make the bone durable and strong,
so now that we know this how does a human baby skull grow into the large skull that we have now?
now when you're born your face is divided, the upper third expands because the brain expands through the sutures, the middle third expands very rapidly and by age 5 it's already hard and 80% grown (hence why its over
) , meanwhile the lower third is more interesting, when you're a newborn your mandible is very small and made by a special type of cartilage, during early growth the cartilage expands rapidly and once the cartilage matures it releases an enzyme called ALP which alters the chemical enviroment causing calcium and phosphate ions to crystalize into hydroxyapatite, which basically just calcifies the external layer of the cartilage, this calcified cartilage now triggers blood vessels to draw in and osteoblats travel through these vessels which do their thing andthey push the jaw forward, now by age 11 the mandible isn't done growing at all because the ramus and the chin still need to grow, they grow through osteoids and through IGF-1 and thyroid hormone also promotes bone growth
another important thing is that also through ages 11-17 there are also two other important hormones to talk about: Calcitonin and PTH (parathyroid hormone), these two have two separate main functions, Calcitonin is released in the thyroid gland when calcium is too high and basically stops osteoclasts from working and keeps the calcium in the bones, meanwhile PTH is released in high quantities when calcium is too high and it supports osteoclasts to break down bone to give the blood more calcium, but in low intermittent doses PTH actually directly stimulates osteoblasts through RANKL
so by the age that you are right now your face is already 70-80% done growing BUT we can force new bone growth which i'll explain later
2 The Risk of Too many of these Hormones (jfl, dnr if low inhib)
as i said IGF-1 ,thyroid ,parathyroid hormone and calcitonin all work in different ways to our cause which is maximize osteoblasts stimulus to grow bones, but unfortunately all these hormones if not done correctly and safely enough can cause real health problems (and in these low recommended doses most don't really do much of a difference)
too much IGF-1 basically makes you a giant , the problem is that it does also for the muscles and since the heart is a muscle you will have serious cardiovascular complications
too much thyroid makes you fucked up mentally, makes your organs work too fast, makes you lose too much weight while also giving you a lot of diarrhea and makes your neck look like a frog's
too much parathyroid hormone also makes you fucked up but even more brutal since it gives depression and trouble concentrating, makes you have kidney stones and also low bonemass and also makes you makes you consitpated
too much calcitonin doesn't really give any physical problems but it gives thyroid cancer
do your own research before trying to inject any hormones and do not take any of this as medical advice
3 How we can manipulate these Hormones to our advantage
so i think by now your main idea would be to get a lot of calcitonin to inhib the osteoclasts, get intermittent low parathyroid hormone levels and and have high igf-1, and while we can all inject these we could also naturally have these higher, calcitonin is easily increased by having high calcium and vitamin d intake and for igf-1 keep your protein intake at high (1.5-2g per kilo of bodyweight), eat enough calories and dont go on a cut, eat healthy fats, lift weights, do sports, and sleep enough (9-10 hours) and finally keep stress as low as possible and don't overtrain, parathyroid hormone to the levels tat we want is very hard to do in a day and you could only do it medically, again if you do wanna try any of these ways or try injecting DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH
4 Conclusion
TL;DR: just eat healthy and dont go on a cut unless really fat and play sports and lift heavy weights
also i wanted to say that IN MY EXPERIENCE bonesmashing works but as always do your own research
